As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our significantly experienced and talented Architectural team based at our idyllic headquarters offices with 200 staff in the grounds of Blenheim Palace – Oxford.

Our design portfolio is world class, and we are currently working on several exciting new projects including F1 Teams’ headquarters, advanced manufacturing, Science, Education, Defence and Workplace projects which results in a diverse, growing, and exciting practice. We work across the UK and internationally, where we both design and deliver a range of projects in terms of scale and sector.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assistance with formulating the brief and communicating the brief effectively to colleagues as required
  • Carry out studies and design proposals for review
  • Cooperate with other members of the design team
  • Ensure design proposals conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
  • Providing a practical and methodical approach to solving problems, working to fixed budgets and working within deadlines
  • Assistance with planning applications, Building Regulations
  • Inspection of building work on site

Experience and Skills Required

  • Part 1 qualified Architectural Assistant
  • Exceptional visualisation skills

Software:

  • AutoCAD & Revit
  • Sketchup
  • Rhino
  • DIVA for Rhino, grasshopper for Rhino
  • Enscape
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating a high level diligence and organisational skills.
