Senior BREEAM Assessor

Due to our continuing success, Ridge has an opportunity for a Senior BREEAM Assessor to join our growing Sustainabilty Team.  The successful candidate will have a real desire to learn, grow and forge a long-term career within an award-winning multi-discipline consultancy.

 

The team provide a range of sustainability services direct to client organisations, external consultant teams, contractors, as well as to our own Ridge multi-disciplinary project teams.  You will be involved in developing, governing and delivering sustainability strategies from inception, through to hand over for buildings and property portfolios. You will play a key part in the continued growth of our team and should demonstrate a passion to make a difference.

 

You will play a key part in the continued growth of the team that spans over a variety of sectors including (but not limited to): schools, university buildings, offices, industrial units, hotels, leisure centres and hospitals.

 

As a senior member of the team your remit will include developing your own clients and workstreams and you will be involved in preparing fee proposals.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct BREEAM assessments for a variety of construction projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs
  • Provide expert advice to clients on sustainable design strategies and technologies to achieve BREEAM certification targets
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability principles into the design and construction process
  • Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and documentation in accordance with BREEAM requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainability standards and regulations
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss assessment findings and recommendations

Experience and Skills Required

  • Proven experience conducting BREEAM assessments and managing sustainability initiatives for construction projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients and project teams
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, building systems, and materials
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A full driving licence
